2018 Interior Trends

Velvet & Jewel Tones

Two of the key trends for 2018 and ones which we have spotted in our clients’ beautiful homes.  A velvet sofa remains a firm favourite; luxuriously inviting and easy to mix and match with other pieces of furniture.  Our clients have styled theirs with bright and bold prints – fuchsia pink proving the perfect accent tone against the blue.

As shown below the trend is equally at home in a contemporary flat as it is in a more traditional family home.  Amongst geometric gold and glass furniture and contrasting with leather and animal hides, you can still be sure it won’t blend into the background.

Looking for something similar?  Here are some of our favourites:

Rose and Grey: A beautiful range of tones and styles; we love their Rosie Snuggle Seat.

Arlo & Jacob: For every shape and size you could possibly imagine; hard to pick a favourite from this vast range.

MADE.COM: Always at the forefront of interior trends.  A classic Chesterfield with a velvet twist.

The Conran Shop: And for our dream home; The Chiltern.

If you can’t justify upgrading your sofa right now there are still plenty of ways to incorporate the trend into your interiors.  From cushions and throws to lampshades and curtains, velvet is definitely sticking around for another season.
